Microsoft Campus Redevelopment Tour
Come tour some of the exciting things Microsoft has been working on!
Join us for an Exclusive Sustainability Tour at Microsoft Campus!
Discover the innovative intersection of architecture and sustainability on our guided tour of Microsoft's East Campus. We'll start by strolling across the stunning pedestrian bridge, meticulously designed to mirror the surrounding mountain ranges. This bridge not only connects East and West Campus effortlessly but also boasts helical drains that elegantly capture rain, ensuring comfort in all weather conditions.
Next, immerse yourself in East Campus's vibrant atmosphere as we pass by the expansive sports fields before reaching the awe-inspiring Thermal Energy Center (TEC). Here, you'll witness firsthand Microsoft's groundbreaking Sustainability Initiative. Marvel at the towering 65-foot thermal energy tanks, powered by 900 geothermal wells drilled an impressive 550 feet underground. Through an intricate network of heat pumps and electric chillers, supported by 220 miles of underground piping, the TEC utilizes Earth's natural temperatures to efficiently heat and cool new office buildings. This innovative system not only eliminates traditional gas boilers and electric chillers but also reduces energy consumption by up to 50%.
Conclude our enlightening tour with networking opportunities and refreshing beverages at Craft 75, the chic Gastropub named in tribute to Microsoft's founding year. Don't miss this chance to explore cutting-edge sustainability practices while connecting with like-minded professionals.
